About Pekan Produsente Groep Oor Pekan Produsente Groep
PPG brings producers together: sharing knowledge, building connections, and strengthening the sector we all depend on.
Who we areWie ons is
Pekan Produsente Groep (PPG) is a producer-led group formed to give pecan producers a stronger and better-informed voice within the industry. We started in the heart of South Africa's pecan country, and our network keeps growing as we carry that vision further afield.
We believe producers do their best work when they have real information, open channels of communication, and the freedom to make their own decisions, so that's what we focus on providing.
What we doWat ons doen
PPG creates space for open, direct conversation between producers and the partners they work with, helping each producer negotiate from a position of knowledge and insight, rather than habit. We share practical information, host events like our symposium, and work to strengthen trust and transparency across the industry. We're in ongoing conversation with SAPPA to facilitate a tighter co-operation as our shared industry looks ahead. Behind the scenes, we're also exploring new tools and structures that could give producers more independence and a stronger voice in how the industry is shaped.
Our approach is simple: give producers the insight and information they need, and let good relationships follow from there.
